ORIGINAL ARTICLE CAN BE FOUND AT: What do you know about index annuities?
John,
I am an independent market research analyst who specializes exclusively in the indexed annuity (IA) and indexed life (IUL) markets. I have tracked the companies, products, marketing, and sales of these products for over a decade. I used to provide similar services for fixed and variable products, but I believe so strongly in the value proposition of indexed products that I started my own company focusing on IAs exclusively. I do not endorse any company or financial product, and millions look to us for accurate, unbiased information on the insurance market. In fact, we are the firm that regulators look to, and work with, when needing assistance with these products.
I wanted to contact you about your recent article in Boomer Market Advisor, “Pop quiz: What do you know about index annuities?.” This article refers to an article that first appeared by Leslie Schism in The Wall Street Journal. We have contacted Leslie and her editors to inform her of the numerous mistakes that appear in this article, which your website refers to. Please take a moment to read the attached messages from myself and the WSJ staff.
It would be greatly appreciated if you could either remove this article from Boomer Market Advisor, or make the appropriate corrections to it. Many agents in this market rely on the credibility of your information. I know that you would not want the journalistic integrity of Boomer Market Advisor to be called into question because of WSJ’s mistakes.
Please feel free to contact me, should you have any need for information on indexed insurance products.
Thanks, John!
