The new year has begun, and many of your colleagues, clients and prospects already feel as if they need a vacation.
The last few weeks of 2017 were so busy and so full of drama in Washington, that many people involved in insurance and employee benefits ended up working at full speed throughout December.

- Jan. 16: UnitedHealth Group Inc., the carrier that usually kicks off the life and health earnings release season, reports earnings for the fourth quarter of 2017, and all of 2017.
- Feb. 5: National Center for Health Statistics, release of residential care community resident and adult day services participant survey data.
