    We are seeking a Product Marketing AVP to join a growing marketing organization. This role will focus on innovating our product marketing content and how we present our value proposition to producers and consumers. The successful candidate should have proven content marketing competency, intermediate level of technical expertise across an array of insurance products, and experience partnering as a leader of cross-functional teams. This role will interface primarily with product development, product implementation and legal teams, and secondarily with Distribution.

    Organization

    This position will report directly to the VP, Marketing. The individual will lead F&G product marketing efforts, partnering with marketing peers who focus on brand, communications and distribution.

    Duties And Responsibilities

      • Ongoing study and understanding of our product portfolio and how it fits into our marketing strategy and long-term business objectives.
      • Conceptualize content across mediums that bring our life and annuity value proposition to life (case studies, competitive analysis, videos, etc.)
      • Manage the development and maintenance of all annuity and life product collateral, including consumer brochures and agent/advisor only resources.
      • Conduct ongoing review and assessment of existing product support materials to ensure effectiveness, timeliness, and appropriateness with recommendations for improvement.
      • Consults on trainings, field communications and illustration changes.
      • Represent the Marketing team at product-related brainstorming, strategy, and project management meetings, and on cross-functional work streams.

     

    Experience And Education Requirements

      • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related degree.
      • 10+ years of experience in insurance marketing preferred.
      • Exposure to marketing to independent marketing organizations highly desirable.
      • Thought leadership—idea generation and problem-solving approaches that result in beneficial impact to business; handle complex decisions effectively.
      • Strong communication skills—listening, writing, speaking, visual presentations, discernment and prioritization.
      • Financial Services knowledge; insurance industry preferred.
      • Creative and inquisitive thinker.

     

    Skills And Abilities

      • Demonstrated leadership skills working within a multi-functional financial services environment to develop and deliver marketing collateral that meets legal and compliance standards and fulfills needs for distribution partners to sell our products.
      • Aptitude to learn key product capabilities and incorporate into effective marketing approaches.
      • Must have excellent listening skills to discern most important aspects of requests submitted for design/marketing support.
      • Must be detail-oriented with proficient organization skills.
      • Must work in a collaborative environment and take direction from a number of individuals at the same time based on project demand.
      • Knowledge of graphic design software—an advantage (not required).

     

    Physical Demands and Work Environment

      • Work environment will be fast-paced and deadline-oriented so must be able to handle multiple projects with multiple players from a variety of locations at any given time.
      • Heavy computer use and sitting for long periods of time; some travel expected.
