Total 3Q2019 deferred annuity sales were $55,206,815,849. Third quarter deferred annuity sales were down more than 5% when compared to the previous quarter.
Non-Variable Deferred Annuity Sales
Total 3Q2019 non-variable deferred annuity sales were $29,210,974,291. Third quarter non-variable deferred annuity sales were down nearly 12% when compared to the previous quarter, and were down nearly 2% when compared to the same period last year.
Variable Deferred Annuity Sales
Total 3Q2019 variable deferred annuity sales were $25,995,841,558. Third quarter variable annuity sales were up more than 3% when compared to the previous quarter.
Indexed Annuity
Sales for the third quarter of 2019 were $18,678 million, compared with sales of $17,696 million for the third quarter of 2018. Third quarter indexed annuity sales were down more than 5% when compared to the previous quarter, and up nearly 6% when compared to the same period last year.
Total 3Q2019 indexed annuity sales were $18,678,517,313.
