Nationwide Mutual Insurance Co. says many of its 3,300 employees in Des Moines will begin working from home starting Monday amid concerns about the spread of coronavirus.
The Columbus, Ohio-based insurance and financial services company said Thursday that its goal is to have half of its employees working at home at any given time. That percentage could ramp up, the company said, depending on the spread of the coronavirus, which causes the respiratory illness COVID-19.
Nationwide has been preparing for employees to work from home for nearly two months.
