There’s No Easy Fix to the DOL Fiduciary Rule
September 16, 2020 by Kim O'Brien
“It’s like déjà vu all over again.”
Yogi Berra said a lot of things decades ago that seem apt today concerning the Department of Labor fiduciary rule. He also said “you can observe a lot by watching.”
Wink’s Note: A fiduciary rule is coming.
It may not be from the DOL.
It may not be from the SEC.
It may just be in a handful of states.
(And who wants to administer a change like that, only in a select handful of states, when they can standardize and streamline everything to a single standard?)
But, a fiduciary rule is coming.
So, isn’t it possible that the reason “the industry” isn’t fighting back against the DOL because the resources would be wasted? -sjm
