Goldman Sachs, Allstate Join Other Companies Announcing Layoffs

Goldman Sachs Group, Allstate, and Marathon Petroleum each announced layoffs on Wednesday—a day after Walt Disney said it would cut 28,000 jobs.
Goldman Sachs Group (ticker: GS) plans to cut about 1% of its workforce, or just under 400 people, according to a person familiar with the matter. The company ended its 2019 fiscal year with 38,300 employees. Bloomberg News first reported the layoffs.
