Wink’s Note: This article had some good ideas for dealing with inflation on annuities.
I don’t know about insurance companies laddering 20 or more annuities though…that sounds like a suitability issue to me.
As for searching for inflation protection features…Wink’s AnnuitySpecs has that.
And I’ve already developed an indexed annuity based on the price of real estate; it just never made it to market because my client was acquired. There have been indexed annuities based on the price of gold too. -sjm
