Security Benefit (SB) seeks an experienced Annuity Operations Relationship Manager to join the Operations Team reporting to the Vice President, Operations. Security Benefit fosters strong partnerships to provide insightful and customized retirement solutions for employers and individual investors nationwide. Through a broad advisor network and its nationally recognized money managers, Security Benefit provides mutual funds, annuities and retirement programs. The Manager will work in our home office in Topeka or Overland Park, Kansas office, or the Des Moines, Iowa office. A remote location will be considered for the right candidate. Position may be filled at a higher level based on candidate qualifications. SB associates are working in a hybrid environment with both remote and onsite work.
General Accountabilities
The Annuity Operations Relationship Manager will be responsible for oversight of operational support provided via a third-party administrator (TPA), process definition, and general ongoing operational support for our existing annuity blocks of business.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide ongoing oversight of service delivery via our TPA
- Coordinate vendor oversight, SLA delivery and escalation/problem resolution
- Identify and establish operations process flows, guidelines, and requirements to support service delivery
- Monitor and support regulatory considerations and enhancements in coordination with TPA
- Ongoing and close integration with SB internal teams and external teams supporting this block of business
- Will be the subject matter expert for all annuity operations delivery and development
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or related degree or equivalent work experience
- Five years’ experience supporting insurance operations and service delivery teams
- Thorough annuity and/or life insurance operations experience
- Experience with fix, fixed indexed, and variable annuity products
- Strong commitment to exceptional customer experience delivery
- Strong individual contributor and team player with high standards for productivity and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple competing tasks and short deadlines
- Ability to lead and prioritize across multiple functions
- Strong computer skills, including advanced proficiency with MS Office
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Proven verbal and written communication skills, working with all levels of internal associates and external customers
- Strong relationship building skills and client focused
- Highly motivated, well organized and detail-oriented
- Self-starter with ability to work independently
