Q3 League Tables: Two Carriers Dominate the Fixed-Indexed Annuity Segment

Allianz as Runner-Up: Allianz Life, based in Minneapolis and part of Munich-based Allianz SE, saw third-quarter year-to-date fixed-indexed annuity sales rise 17% from a year ago to $10 billion, according to Limra.

Allianz Life’s Allianz Benefit Control Annuity was the best-selling indexed annuity in the third quarter, Wink reported on Tuesday. Wink tracks the life and annuity industry.

In an email, Allianz Life said it has expanded its footprint into accumulation-focused fixed-indexed annuities by enhancing benefits on existing products and introducing new ones. At the same time, the carrier has added shelf space with major distributors, the company said.
