I am insurance.

**********My life has been full of adversity.**********

– Born to teenage parents;

– Abused throughout childhood;

– Lived in abject poverty;

– Married a police officer who went to prison;

– First child born with birth defects and health problems;

– Single mom with three babies, and no child support;

– Lived in abject poverty again;

– Married again and lost five babies over ten years, due to failed IVF;

– Lost my job;

– First born child killed himself after being bullied for being gay; and

– Gave birth to a baby that was Autistic.

**********However, my life has also been blessed.**********

– I was born;

– I learned to love reading;

– I learned the power of effective communication;

– I graduated high school with a 4.0 GPA;

– I was hired by AmerUs Group;

– I learned the power of life insurance and annuities;

– I learned how not to treat employees when hired by a second insurance company;

– Started my own business at the age of 29;

– Married The Hottest Man Alive;

– Returned to college while running three businesses, raising three children, and ultimately graduated summa cum laude;

– Found out I was pregnant two days after burying my son;

– Had the joy of watching my daughters become kind, responsible, beautiful adults;

– Had another baby after menopause;

– Given the opportunity to see how beautiful life is by seeing things through the eyes of my child, on the spectrum;

– Had the opportunity to be an even better Mom to my two little boys;

– Celebrated 20 years of running a successful small business in the life insurance industry; and

– Met thousands of friends in the life insurance business.

I may have lived through a lot for one person, but I have been blessed lifetimes-over. I have struggled through the journey, but survived through it victoriously.
