It is been just over a year since Prosperity Life acquired National Western Life Insurance Company (NWL).

(You will recall that Prosperity already owns SBLI USA and S.USA.)

And now…JAB Insurance is acquiring Prosperity!

Don’t know who JAB Insurance is? It is a company that was formed by CEO, Anant Bhalla.

(You know- the guy that used to lead American Equity.)

Prosperity has a 0.67% market share in the annuity market. On the life insurance side, their market share is 0.03%.

I am excited to see what Anant’s next move is! And what will they be doing with their current companies’ product portfolios?

I don’t think anyone would blame me for assuming that the product offering is about to get more competitive for JAB Insurance’s holdings… -sjm
