New Premium at Allianz Life Falls 20% on Promotion Cycle Change

Sheryl Moore, CEO of Wink and publisher of Wink’s Sales & Market Report, which tracks the U.S. life and annuity market, said the 2024 third-quarter Allianz Life promotion resulted in the company’s highest-ever quarterly sales for fixed-indexed annuities.
In the third quarter of last year, Allianz Life was the top seller of FIAs with a market share of 13%, Wink reported earlier. Allianz Benefit Control Annuity was the No. 1 selling FIA contract over that three-month period, Wink said.
Moore said in an email she wouldn’t expect the company to beat its record quarter, just one year later without a promotion taking place, but noted she expects Allianz Life to turn in a strong fourth quarter. Allianz Life recently enhanced some of their top-selling FIAs, she added.
