A longtime friend, of a great many years, died recently. I just found out.
Kirby Wood– you will be missed. No doubt the folks at American Equity will never forget you, nor will I.

Let’s share our favorite memories of Kirby!
My favorite was after a speaking event (for whom I cannot recall), where Kirby was lined up to follow me. When the meeting adjourned, I heard for the very first time, “FIRST TO SHOW UP. LAST TO LEAVE!”
This was something that I had the occasion to hear at each meeting where AEIL was represented. Kirby wanted everyone to know how very much American Equity appreciated their distribution partners and agents.
And they knew it! Because of you, Kirby.
