So please, the next time you compare us, be aware of the differences.

One thing that I get extremely tired of is people comparing Wink, Inc. to a certain unnamed industry market research firm.
We are different!
They provide meetings. We provide product information. They provide sales of products other than life insurance and annuities. We provide sales by product, by distribution.
You get the idea.
That said, we are similar to one another in that we both track the sales of annuities.
Wink has 112 annuity companies participating in “Wink’s Sales & Market Report” for 2025. We declare that we estimate only 5.78% of the market.
This market research firm has 57 companies in their dataset for the same period. (HALF the carriers that report to Wink!) They declare that they estimate 7.40% of the market.
The difference is the equivalent of not receiving sales for the #19 seller of annuities.
So please, the next time you compare us to that market research firm, be aware of the differences. -sjm
Afterthought- estimates are just an arbitrary number that each of us comes-up with. So, does the % of sales represented really MEAN anything, given that estimates are just that? *sjm scratching head* sjm
