Equitable Faces Suit Over Life Policy Beneficiary Change Request

A widow is suing a subsidiary of Equitable Holdings over how it handled a request for a life insurance policy beneficiary change.
Koralys Del Mar Ruiz-Calixto said the company, Equitable Financial Life Insurance Company, was slow to help her even though it knew that her husband — Victor Valentin-De Jesús — had a brain tumor.
