06/22/26: American General Life increased the competitiveness of their Lifetime Income Plus Flex GLWB and their Lifetime Income Plus Multiplier Flex GLWB, which are available on the Power Select Advisory and Power Select Plus Income fixed indexed annuities. They also made the Lifetime Income Choice GLWB, available on the Power 7 Protector & Power 10 Protector fixed indexed annuities more attractive.
06/22/26: Brighthouse Life increased the attractiveness of their FlexChoice Access Guaranteed Lifetime Withdrawal Benefit (GLWB) rider available on the Series VA, Series S and Prime Options variable annuities (VAs).
06/22/26: MassMutual Ascend introduced new performance triggered indexing method, utilizing the S&P 500 and a specified rate, on the American Freedom Liberty series, AssuranceSelect series, American Landmark series and the American Legend 7; also introduced new Legacy Ascender Guaranteed Minimum Death Benefit (GMDB) rider on the American Landmark 5, American Legend 7, AssuranceSelect 5 & 7 and the American Freedom Liberty 5 & 7.
06/19/26: Jefferson National Life pulled funds from the Monument Advisor variable annuity.
06/18/26: Fidelity & Guaranty Life increased the attractiveness of the GLWB on their Safe Income Advantage fixed indexed annuity.
06/17/26: American Equity improved the competitiveness of the GLWB on their American Equity IncomeShield 9 fixed indexed annuity.
06/16/26: Allianz makes modifications to their GLWBs on the Allianz Benefit Control+ fixed indexed annuity, the Allianz 360 fixed indexed annuity, and the Allianz 222+ fixed indexed annuity.
06/15/26: S.USA (Prosperity Life) introduced the Prosperity PathWay series. The fixed indexed annuity products are income-focused, and a nice compliment to the company’s existing accumulation product portfolio. What’s different? You’ll find three different asset allocation models, with more advantageous rates than the non-model options. There is a new lineup of hybrid indices on these. It looks like we also have one product with a Guaranteed Lifetime Withdrawal Benefit (GLWB) benefit base bonus (credited on the annuity’s shadow fund value), as well as a second product that has BOTH a premium bonus and a benefit base bonus. It appears that the company is giving the client the choice of a “free” rider, or the choice of simple interest/compounding interest on the other two benefits (compounding provides a longer rollup period). Long-term care kickers polish off each of the riders as well.
