Jackson Taps Its Next President and CEO
July 29, 2026 by Allison Bell
Wink’s Moore on the Market: I will miss Laura Prieskorn‘s leadership at Jackson, and it is sad to say that we are losing another female in an executive position the the life insurance industry. Retirement is not a bad thing though!
That said, I am excited to see how Don Cummings moves the company forward, in his new position as CEO.
Congratulations to you both!
(Oh, and kind of a big deal- this is wrong: “The company ranked second in terms of U.S. retail variable annuity sales in the first quarter, with $5.7 billion in sales, according to LIMRA.”
Jackson WAS the #2 seller of variable-types of annuities, with a total of $5.7 billion in sales.
However, they were the #1 seller of variable annuities, with a total of $3.7 billion in sales. AND THAT is attributable to Wink, Inc.!) -sjm

The board of Jackson has picked an executive who has seen financial turmoil up close to succeed Laura Prieskorn as its next president and chief executive officer.
Prieskorn plans to retire from Jackson at the end of the year, after serving as its leader for more than five years and working for the annuity issuer for more than 30 years, the company said today.
