Keep Annuity Math and Disclosures Separate, Industry Groups Say

Actuarial rule writers should stick with regulating life and annuity math. They should not use their rapid actuarial guideline creation process to regulate product disclosures.
Groups for life and annuity issuers, actuaries, and the people who distribute and sell the products have made that case in comments sent to the National Association of Insurance Commissioners’ Life Insurance Annuities and Illustrations Working Group.
