LPL Asks Court to Dismiss Suit Over an Annuity From a Troubled Issuer

LPL Financial is asking a federal judge in California to dismiss a suit involving an annuity written by an insurance company that is now in rehabilitation in Connecticut.
LPL asked the court to throw out the case, Nietz v. LPL Financial, in a motion filed Monday with the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California. The independent broker-dealer and investment advisor also filed a memorandum giving LPL’s arguments in favor of dismissing the suit.
