ANNUITY
07/20/26: AuguStar Life Insurance Company launched their AuguStar LunarLock Prime 5 as a proprietary offering for a specific distributor’s shelf. This product has improved rates over the national version of the annuity.
07/27/26: Nationwide Life Insurance Company introduced their Monument Advisor Select NY variable annuity (VA) in New York. This I-share annuity looks eerily similar to the Jefferson National product with the same moniker. What IS different is that this new product does not have a Guaranteed Minimum Death Benefit (GMDB), like the Jefferson National version does.
07/30/26: Upstream Life Insurance Company increased the street level compensation on the Secure Legacy 6-Year MYG annuity.
08/01/26: CL Life and Annuity Insurance Company initiated a commission bonus program for qualifying premiums received on the CL Tarrant Trail MYG annuity series effective 08/01/26 – 10/31/26.
08/01/26: Guaranty Income Life reduced the maximum issue age on the Guaranty Rate Lock 3 & 4 year Multi-Year Guaranteed (MYG) annuities.
08/01/26: Nationwide Life & Annuity increased the competitiveness of their Guaranteed Lifetime Withdrawal Benefit (GLWB), through a rollup increase, on the Nationwide High Point 365 Select with Bonus Lifetime Income Benefit Rider, which is available on the New Heights Select 8, 9 and 10 indexed annuities.
08/03/26: Aspida Life Insurance Company is all about new hybrid indices this week. A couple of days ago the insurer rolled-out a new annual point-to-point indexing method utilizing the T.Rowe Price U.S. Equity 15 Index with a cap, as well as a new two-year term end point indexing method utilizing the T.Rowe Price U.S. Equity 15 Index and a participation rate. Products impacted by the change are the proprietary Synergy Choice Max, Synergy Choice Bonus and Synergy Choice Income indexed annuities.
