The Index Standard to Score FIA Renewal Rates with New Benchmark

Sheryl Moore, president and CEO of Moore Market Intelligence in Des Moines, Iowa, and publisher of Wink, Inc., agreed that renewal rate consistency is important, but she cautioned that building a new industry benchmark from scratch can be a long and arduous process — not least because it must reach critical mass to be useful.

She said the index will need top companies to participate, or it won’t have much utility — and many of those carriers will not feel comfortable making public their track records on rate renewals.
