Who can sell annuities with a AM Best rating, where it is described as still “above a D?!?” -sjm
AM Best today cut the financial strength ratings of two annuity issuers controlled by Advantage Capital — Atlantic Coast Life Insurance Company and Sentinel Security Life Insurance Company.
AM Best reduced the rating of Atlantic Coast Life to b-, or marginal, from bb+, or fair. It reduced the rating of Sentinel Security Life to C+, or margin, from B, or fair.
