ANNUITY
09/29/26: Midland National Life Insurance Company repriced their Summit Edge series, which is available in 5-, 7-, and 10-year terms. So, what’s changed? For one- the surrender charges have been dropped in years one and two. The death benefits are now stronger- appreciation-to-date will now also be available for the loved ones of the annuitant. PLUS- a new enhanced Guaranteed Minimum Death Benefit (GMDB) is along for the ride. Any fee-based indexing options have been removed (hmmm…will this be the NEW trend?!?) and there are now indexing options that guarantee the rates for the surrender charge term. The icing on the cake is the new performance triggered indexing options. There are LOTS of new reasons for people to give these products a once over.
09/29/26: Standard Insurance Company (“The Standard”) introduced two new annual point-to-point indexing methods, utilizing the Bloomberg Bitcoin US 100 10% Index with a participation rate that are guaranteed for the surrender charge term on the EclipseMark series. They also launched a Nasdaq-100 HiCap Index, utilizing a cap rate, which is also guaranteed for the surrender charge term. Minimum premiums were increased to $50,000, a new $150,000 rate band was added and adjustments were made to the penalty-free withdrawal amount (up to 10% of Account Value year 1). So, check out the changes on the on the EclispeMark 5, 5 Plus, 10 and 10 Plus products.
09/28/26: Ibexis Life & Annuity Insurance Company introduced an indexed annuity commission bonus special on all 5-, 7-, and 10-year iterations of the product.
09/28/26: Protective Life Insurance Company increased payouts on, and introduced a year-five deferral bonus for, the Guaranteed Income Benefit Guaranteed Lifetime Withdrawal Benefit (GLWB) available on the Protective Income Builder indexed annuity.
09/25/26: Athene Annuity and Life Company increased premium bonuses on the Performance Elite 10, 10 Plus, 15, and 15 Plus indexed annuities.
09/23/26: American Equity Investment Life increased GLWB payout factors on the IncomeShield 10 and IncomeShield Bonus 10 indexed annuities.
