Protective Life subsidiary acquires Pennsylvania-based brokerage agency

First Protective Insurance Group, Inc., a subsidiary of Protective Life Corporation, has purchased of the assets of the MacNamee Group, a West Chester, Pennsylvania-based brokerage agency.
The MacNamee Group was founded in 1982 and specializes in life insurance, long term care and annuities.
Steve MacNamee, president of the MacNamee Group, said the company conducted an extensive search looking for an opportunity to join another firm to expand its capabilities.
“First Protective exceeded our hopes for a firm to combine with that will continue the tradition we have for excellent service, deep expertise, and an environment that we want to be a part of,” he said.
