Where’s the Beef? Fake Indexes, Class Action Litigation, IUL, and AG 49-B

At the beginning of Easter weekend, Sheryl J. Moore posted on LinkedIn about this very subject detailing information about two class action lawsuits involving indexed annuities using volatility-control indexes. After pulling both actual filings and reading through the pleadings and court dockets, I decided to comment on Sheryl’s post. When I checked back a few days later, there were 265 comments back and forth on this topic including several by well-respected industry peers.
